£5.00
Description
Miracle Cafe talk with Libby McArthur
So many of the stories we share in our lives are about romantic love being the goal. Libby has always been struck by the pain and anxiety felt by broken-hearted couples, desiring to feel cherished and understood, only to experience more separation.
Through Chapters 15 to 24 of the Text, ‘A Course in Miracles’ teaches: “The special relationship is the triumph of this confusion.” The Course does not wish us to be discouraged, or to give up on joining, but to acknowledge this journey, even as we struggle, as being the best path to holy relationship.
Libby McArthur’s television career spans almost 30 years. She has worked extensively for the BBC and Scottish Television (STV) in many of Scotland’s returning TV series, including ‘Taggart’, ‘High Road’ and ‘Doctor Finlay’s Casebook’, but is probably best known for her for her role as Gina Rossi in ‘River City’. Libby’s acting career has always run in tandem with her creative self-expression workshops. She is currently working with two groups of women, serving Community Payback Orders, to avoid custodial sentences.
In 2018, with her own company Otago Theatre, she took her one-woman show, ‘In for a Penny’, to the Edinburgh Festival. She has performed at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival and the International Comedy Festival. Libby has also worked as a director. Recently, she has been in service as a celebrant for funerals and weddings. She has been an ‘A Course in Miracles’ student for 30 years and runs the Glasgow study group. www.libbymcarthur.com
